In the artist’s words
I wanted to return to the subject of love. In the lead-up to the 250th anniversary of Hoffmann’s birth, I began to wonder what ideal love might look like.
Perhaps it would be flawlessly beautiful — so beautiful that, at some point, it would begin to feel almost unnatural.
An ideal that cannot exist in nature.
